High Performance 5VZFE?

Hard to beat FI in terms of adding power. I'm currently in the 300-350 range with 10-12 psi on a completely stock internals 230k 3.4.

For real?? Are these dyno numbers? If so that's really impressive. Any improvement in mpgs under conservative driving? I figured the custom turbo builds would yield basically the same results as supercharging, around the 260-270 range. Man do I want to turbocharge my 4runner! Just not in the cards right now

Anyone on here a BMW fan, im stuck between getting a e30 325 and turbo or an e46 m3. I love the looks of both of them but the m3 can rev like no other and the sound ahhhhh the sounds.

Supercharger is limited to a maximum airflow and psi. The turbo can be turned up and also push more air at the same PSI level. And yes the turbo motor will give way better mileage than the supercharge as long as you know how to drive it.

I just started researching these builds as I saw one cruising around. The motor is pretty much bulletproof. Seen a guy making near 600whp on a stock block and 10psi out of the same turbo I want to run at 30psi to make the power I want thats not much mroe than that. Very good platform.

Look up HP freaks, they were recently baught by another company but their kits start at something like 14grand but you can have 600whp stock internals.

The e46 m3 is an amazing machine, but if you want cheap power then the e30 is the way to go and they also weight around 2800lbs

Right. Is I am debating a LS swap of fully building my 5vz.

I would get forged rods, forged pistons 0.020 over at 9.5:1 compression, CNC ported heads with 1mm larger valves on both intake and exhaust, 500cc injectors, supercharger, and meth injection.

All told its about $9,500 vs $13,000 for an E-rod LS and not to mention all the drivetrain components you have to swap.

A fully built 5vz at my specs could easily do 325hp at the crank.

I am 33 so not some 18yr old dreaming. Single no kids so yes, I have the $. My other car is a C7 z51.
