High speed whine

Went for an adventure today and on the way back home I started hearing a high pitched whine while driving. It was barely noticeable with the windows up, but with the back window down it was very noticeable. It did not change in pitch when I accelerated/stopped but when my speed changed it did. At about 50-65 mph it sounded similar to a SC. Had to pull over to make sure I had the right vehicle. :) Sadly there wasn't one there. Dang.

Anyone have any ideas what this could be? I'm hoping it's not anything to do with the trans.

I remember asking a question awhile back when I had my Ford. The lady I talked to asked me if my vehicle was turned on...conversation didnt last too long.

Check your oil levels in the rear diff, transfer case, and transmission.
