One of the people I mow for in my neighborhood has 99' SR5 with 350,XXX Miles, she said she would probably sell it at 400,000 for like 1,000 so I'll probably take that deal, she's the only owner and keeps it meticulously clean inside and out

Mine hit 212k the other day. Still running strong. Basic repairs so far with nothing major needed. Actually, as I type, I'm sitting in a shop waiting for new sway bar end links to be put on and an oil change. A few weeks ago, I had to replace the front driver side CV axle. But with 212k, these types of repairs are to be expected. Love my 4Runner...would never be able to afford a new one off the lot though!

Ah well... we'll see. I'm not putting many miles on 'er these days due carpooling with the wife in her 5th gen.

~2.5 months since the last post I'm only at 347k and change. At this rate, it'll be a few years.

400 000 miles is just a number, why retire your truck then if it's still going well? I'd keep mine to 1 million if I was to have no major problem or rust with it.

2003 Sport, 4x4, v8 has 308,000 and counting. I have owned for three years, had 250,000 when I purchased it. Best vehicle I have ever owned!

High mileage 01

Mileage today is 284908. Silver 01 v6 auto 4 wd sr5. Has some cosmetic scars, runs good, has survived the pink milkshake with new radiator. Bought new in 01' o % financing for 3 years. Mobil 1 5 w 30 since first oil change.

Took delivery of 99 limited w/ 198k, currently @ 209 & change, starts right up, runs smooth, 4 speed auto shifts like butter... Runs leagues better than my 04 Nissan Xterra w/ half the miles,was constantly throwing codes & misfiring before trans became noisy & slipping...
Hope for many more miles out of the runner, like to hear from more of you high milers out there, especially you guys w/250-300k +

My condolences on the loss of Stevie, the hilux surf, is that like a diesel 4runner? Can you get those in the states, the engine & drivetrain anyway?

267,000 miles on my "new" 2000 4runner. It has been well maintained and runs great. Still gets 18.75 mpg on my commute which includes several stop lights. Not bad.

I think you know already, but just in case, ONLY USE OEM knock sensors!!
