Hollister Hills Sat 12/3

Looks just like it did in 2009 --

I once went through this park in my friend's friend's 2009 Jeep Wrangler Trail Edition (whatever the most expensive stock edition is) ... well it was a disaster. The thing bottomed out on almost every dip/bump and made horrible sounds + the leaf springs gave me serious whiplash.

I remember those barrels. I went over them pretty well in with my 31.5s but I did lock it so everything went smooth.

Which trail was this picture taken on?

That was taken right as you were getting to the quarry. You can go straight to go into the quarry or take that side trail up above the quarry. It definitely helps to have a locker for that one because the ruts are pretty deep.

This is what ive been waiting for! Looks like fun. and damn the pic above me got my adrenaline goin just lookin at it! Id probably **** my pants. Did you all go up that way?

Im kinda thinkin of takin off my swar bar and see how it feels without it too, so that when I finally get it off road theres more flex. Or maybe the swaybar quick disconnect pin things.

naw i just kinda sinked into the mud on my driver side, 4 wheels still touching ground, altho i tried my hardest to get my rear tire off the ground at the obstical course, wasnt able too, if i went up any higher the truck was gonna flip.

I had a blast at Hollister on Saturday with everyone. I wasn't there for long at all, but just enough time to do some obstacles and flex out my 4runner. It was great meeting everyone and checking out all of the awesome 4runners. Blcktpgsr and 98SC488 have some amazing 4runners along with the rest of the guys.

Time for pics.

I spotted a BC plate in your pics. Whose truck does that belong to? I remember seeing a 4R in North Vancouver.. With that EXACT hilux hatch.

It's not as bad as it looks and you would do fine with your locker. Yeah I was only there for an hour or so, but I'm sure they had a lot of fun running the trails. Next time you have to make it.

Yeah that is Blcktpgsr's 4runner. He drove down to meet up with his brother 98SC488. It was awesome seeing his 4runner in person.

Oh it was a great time meeting and wheeling with you guys..I'll be posting up some pics as soon as I get the chance.

We will be leaving maybe 2 in the morning tomorrow for another long haul trip back home.....all I can say is that this trip was worth it!

Actually there was another one being sold in Fresno. I texted and emailed the guy but no response..Ow well maybe you're right I'll just scour for one in Vancouver. But thanks for trying dude...somethin will come up eventually.

Ha nice..I'd check it out if we had another day for sure......Eric called a few hours ago and found one in Seattle, I also called the guy already in the hopes that maybe we can swing by and meet up and probably buy it on the way home.

Made it home Tuesday at 7:00 pm..I was tired so the promised pics got delayed abit, but nonetheless here are some random shots of our Hollister Hills trip that my brother took.

Great bunch of guys to wheel with. 'twas a good time.

Before we headed home and after finishing working on my brothers truck, we went for a little photo shoot. His truck literally turned into mine overnight with a little added flair.
