Homelink Garage Door Opener

If you have 2 cars with homelink and you want to program both to be able to open both garage doors, do you have to program them both at the same time(3 people) because of the rolling codes?

To answer your question, no. I have all three of the buttons programmed on mine,
two for the garage doors the third for the gate into the neighborhood.

The transmitters seem to have good power, on one of the gates I can hit the button
almost a block before I get to the gate and don't even have to slow down as the gate
is aready open, the garage door ones work almost as far.

Just installed my homelink and working great. Difficult removal because the metal clips were tight. Broke one of the posts on the plastic/metal clip part. Install not too bad, but had some difficulty getting the metal clips/plastic posts to line up in the slots on the ceiling frame. First button on homelink would not work on the garage programming but the middle button worked in just afew seconds. Very pleased overall.

Now, I can get rid of that pesky eyesore of a remote from my visor!

5 minute installation

Just got my new homelink in the mail. Because of this helpful forum, I had it installed and opening/closing my garage door in 5 minutes! It was quite literally a SNAP!

There are only two colors choices for the plastic portion of the 4runner interior (regardless of trim level).

oak = fawn = taupe = tan = brown

stone = grey

I'm expecting an '05 Sport in a couple of weeks, so I'm new to this...

I take it that means 'Dark Charcoal' interior has 'Stone' colored plastic?

Got Homelink now and I'm hoping this means I don't have to give it up.

The dark charcoal interior has stone plastic. You will not have to give up homelink. I put the stone homelink in my dark charcoal sport

I found it difficult to remove the original over head console. I thought I was going to cut my fingers on the plastic. I almost put a pair of mechanics gloves on. When it came off, the original metal clips were bent.

The new one went in with no problems.

Hey guys! Great thread going here ... tons of info. I just ordered the Homelink console from Partznet for $78. One questions tho ... is there a version of this that doesn't come with the sunroof button? My SR5 doesn't have a sunroof, so if not, then I guess I'll just have to get a sunroof installed

There is definitely two different versions: one with the suroof buttons and one without. Its a long thread but I believe the part numbers for both (and the different colors) are in here somewhere.

yup, you're right ... I must've missed it. The version w/o moonroof button is:
63670-0W030-E0
the "30" of the 2nd set of numbers is the w/o version. Called Partznet, and changed my order. Thanks toybox!

Yeah, toybox is right, just call them. That's how I placed my orders with them. I installed my HomeLink last week, and it works great! SO glad that I don't have my garage door remote rolling around in my cup holders any more
