Hopefully jumping threads...advice.

Hey all,

Currently running an 06 4Runner SE V8. I'm thinking about making the transition to the GX470.

I have in my sights an 05 GX in Nautical Blue with 19K on the ODO. Are there special things about these things I need to look at? I've read about the different model years, but cannot find anything negative really from the commercial sites. Wanted to hear from you.

One thing, does the 05 have the VVT-I engine or the older version? Not a deal breaker as 19K on an 05 I think is a rare find. Especially in the color I want.

05 and up GX have the updated 4.7L with VVT-I. You should get one with nav/bluetooth if possible. Overall, I am not a huge fan of the GX because of handling, looks, and rear door. I would also look at a 4Runner Limited before pulling the trigger.
