Houston mod meet?

I'm going to order all my parts to tackle the valve cover leaks I have but not to sure if this is something I want to try doing on my own. Any members in Houston who have done this before, or are good mechanics and want to help me out? I'm thinking pizza, beer, music, little cash on the side.

Dealer told me about $700 and it would be "complete in just a few hours cause his guys have done so many and are really good at it by now". Damn that's pricey!!!

Sounds intimidating. I wouldn't even know where to start. I have been interested in a Houston Maintenance Meet though... Everyone workin' on their truck, lendin' hands where needed. I live in College Station now, but I am from the Bellaire are and do need work done. Lemme know if you get something planned.

What work do you need done?

I'd like to do a fluid flush, new plugs and wires, seafoam, replace my thermostat and possibly O2 sensor, repaint my fender flares (bedliner), and follow it all up with a nice wash. Who knows when I'll be able to afford to get this all done in the same day.
