No problem with my stock suspension TE and Nitto Terragrapplers, unless I am hauling our 22' camper at 70 - then it's white knuckle time.

Check your tire pressure - some people had better luck running their stock tires at 35 psi to get better handling and win squirm.

Are you running the 5100s at stock height, or lifted? What do your alignment numbers look like, specifically caster?

the front have lifted 1 inch, and rear 1/2 inch
right now front is lower 1/2 ich than rear.

I use stock spring with no spacer,
front 5100 Series Height Adj 0-2.5" Front (24-196499)
rear 5100 Series (BE5-E703-H0) 0-2" Lift Rear (33-187174

Had crosswind issues too, until I made these changes. You are driving a big brick you know, but the changes I cited made my SR5 downright civil to drive. I've had it to 90 mph with no drama.

fr with stock spring 5100 set at 0.85 got 1.5 inch lift
rr replaced with 5100 shock got around 1 inch lift
now front lower than rear around 1 inch

Um, unless you put the wrong Bilstein shock on the rear, you do not get lift in the rear..... fronts only. The correct rear shock is not adjustable.

Front (adjustable) 5100s set at .85, with correct rear 5100s, no fr/rr spacers, should level an SR5. You state "stock spring" and no mention of spacers.

Aren't the stock Bridgestone tires a huge factor for wallow too?

Possibly. I didn't get wised up by 1Engineer to increasing tire pressure until about the same time I upgraded to premium rubber.

@OP - try inflating your oem tires to 35# and see what you get. Most here are pretty critical of the oem tires.

how did you get 1" lift in rear with shocks???? Also, surprised .85 gave you 1.5...I dont think anyone has gotten that?

Change stock tires if you have them, change casters close to 4....rest is just the shape of our 4 runner, brick in the wind!

my measure was wrong, the right one should be like this
the front have lifted 1 inch, and rear 1/2 inch

hi philsey, I find the alignment report, and the caster is 3 and 2.9 is it ok?

First, let me ask you how the truck drives with no wind? Does it wander a bit, and not seem to stay on-center?

If yes, all I can tell you (again) is what cured mine from wandering and being too susceptible to crosswinds.

1. Caster set to 4 degrees.
2. Premium P-rated tires inflated to 35#.
3. Bilstein shocks (4) are probably a bonus, and firmed up the ride. I cannot say if they helped the steering wander, but they are part of getting my 4R dialed in to drive the way I like.

It is now no more susceptible to crosswind than any other large SUV would be.

where did you get a 1/2 spacer for the rear? I assume you have at least a spacer... 5100s don't lift the rear they accommodate lift
