How bad? Broken lbj bolt.

Went to do my cv axles and as luck would have it one of my lbj bolts snapped in half upon removal. I'm going to try heat and drill or vice grip removal. How bad would it be to run three bolts temporarily? (Torqued and loctite of course)
How much are the hub assemblies if I go all new?

One other thing. I've got the other side started but the axle and hub don't seem to want to separate with deadblow. Anyone use a puller/ joint separator?

I wouldn't run 3 bolts temporarily.

I had the trouble getting the axle separated from the hub my self. ended up using a big socket on top of the axle threads and beat the shit out of it with a BFH. The rubber mallet I was using didn't get me anywhere, and the socket protected the threads from the BFH so it was a win/win for me.

Do not just run 3 bolts, even temporarily.

If you need to, take an Uber, and go pick up some hardware. There is simply far too much to lose when something goes wrong.

Get ahold of a little 110 wire welder and weld a nut onto the exposed part of the bolt. Then use a socket to get that beesh out. I would make sure to clean out the threads into the hole with a tap or at least a pipe cleaner before putting anymore bolts into those holes.

I had more trouble getting the other end out of the diff. Ending up using a slide hammer.

So for now it's been out of garage 10' with 3.
I also noticed that the LBJ actually did have a hole in it.

So I'll be taking it apart to do that. I'll do 4 new bolts at the same time. (I reused)

I'm really finding the joy of working on a vechile which spent a decade on the east coast.

Regarding the axle, the bolt/socket with a full sledge hammer(medium taps) did the trick on the hub side. The transmission side wasn't too bad. Just lots of working the 18" pry bar around.
