There are almost too many options out there, but that's a good thing! I'm considering everything from a front spacer to level my 4Runner to a full suspension replacement. I think that the usual set-ups we hear about are all pretty good... each one probably has its pros and cons when compared to the others, but I think it comes down to what you are trying to accomplish by modifying your suspension. Most say that an aftermarket suspension kit provides a "stiffer" or "firmer" ride, but not harsh and more in control. Considering that most aftermarket suspension systems out there for SUV's are intended to improve off-road performance or increase load handling, you'd expect a "stiffer" ride and increased height.
Look at what you intend to use your vehicle for and what aspect of performance you wish to improve... that will help narrow down your options.
I'm looking to level my 4Runner, add a slight amount of lift, and hope to improve the ride quality over washboard roads... right now, I'm leaning toward the OW (Radflo)Full 2.0". It's a tough decision, but the research is fun!
Good luck,
