How bad will I rub? 17x10

Hey y’all,

I found a nice set of 17x10 wheels with 285/70/17’s on Craigslist. I was wondering if anyone was running anything similar, and how bad I could expect the rubbing to be with those.

They’re 18mm offset with 5.75” backspace.

Thanks!

Can't help without knowing what you currently have rim and tire size, but stock 16 inch rims (5 star) are 4-5/8 inch backspacing and 7 inches wide so the rims you are looking at will be 1 inch closer on the inside and stick out 2 inches further. Turn your wheel all the way to one side and see how much space you have between your control arms and the rim.

I have 16x7 stock rims.

10" Wide and 285's is an easy fitment to do without too much hassle. But the backspace on that particular set is not going to work. It sounds wrong anyways, most 10" wide wheels would have much more aggressive offset.

Here is my 4Runner with 16x10 and 285/75, same exact setup, but these wheels are 4 5/8" backspace. Lifted 3", super minor trim on the valance and conservative caster setting, nothing else.
