How big of concern do you think this is?

So I touched this paint chip(behind the corner of driver side taillight) up without applying the primer and I didn’t use any products to clean it before the application because I was too worried about rust.
Will this unsuccessful job lead to potential rust in the future? If so,how should I fix it?b

It’s right under the taillight on driver side.

if there was no rust and your touchup paint adhered well it won't rust, but without any prep work that might not be the case. if you want to fix it you'll need to sand away your touchup paint then clean and degrease before applying the paint.

I vote don't worry about it.
Simply keep an eye on it. Without prepping the surface before applying the paint it might flake off. If it does, prep and repaint.

Thank you and you are right. This is more of a mental thing,I guess.
I’m constantly worrying about it becoming rust as this touch up paint has been cured for about 6 months and I even took the vehicle to the body shop and auto detailers and they recommend repainting the whole panel which is unrealistic.

i'm not a bodywork expert, i'd probably start with something rough to take the paint off (50-80?) then move up from there to maybe 200
