How do I get black door handles currently have chrome. Door handle covers?

I tried several ways of prepping, primering, and painting my SR5 handles over the years. They inevitably chip because no matter how much you scuff the chrome, the paint won't stick to it. I eventually bought the color matched handles from Conicelli Toyota, which is what I should have done to begin with. Also bought a color matched rear lift handle, and I'm having a bare grill painted by the body shop next week. It really made a difference in the truck's looks so far.

Coatings will ultimately fail, and devalue your vehicle.

Through Toyota, I purchased the white version handles in my make & model. Its simple to replace, and a factory finish. It cost me around 230.00 I think.

From Chrome to white ....
