How do I hook this thing up?

I wanted to add an extra cig lighter up to the bottom of the existing one so I can have my GPS hooked up all the time. I got this but I dont know how to hook it up. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Ground goes to the tab on the outer case, Positive 12 volt goes to the center lug.

That is correct, but it doesn't need to be too long. As long as it's grounded to something metal which is hooked to the frame, you'll be good.

Or you can open up the console and use the 12v cig connections and tap of those for a 2 nd adapter
