I just got my OEM fog light switch today, and I'm looking forward to installing it in the dash. Before I damage the dash or do any unnecessary work, how do I neatly remove one of those blanks?
How do I remove the dash knock-outs?

Usually you just push from behind they pop out the front.

Yep. Remove the fuse panel cover, reach in the hole behind the knock-outs and push them out. Or use an air chisel or cutting torch. :wink2:

mine were so rusted i had to use a torch and a sledge hammer....

Seriously though, that was ridiculously easy. I think I'm going to enjoy working on this truck a lot more than my old Chevy S-10.

make sure you soak them in wd-40 the night before. i learned the hard way and sheared two of them off from rust.

And if you are having trouble with the bolts you can try an impact gun. Although I found it easiest to use a plasma cutter.
