How do I remove this to install a bulb??

Hey guys, I tried to pry this thing off but no go, Can someone show me how to pop the cover off.. Its the light right under the driver/passenger rear view mirrors (Side Mirror puddle lights?)

Yes, see that link above. You have to pull pretty hard and it feels like you are going to break it...it is scary the first time!

It requires more physical effort than I had guess to pull off the mirrors. I broke clips on backsides of both the mirrors to get access to these bulbs. Fortunately even with a couple of the clip connections broken my mirror has remained in place for 10k+ miles. Dont worry about it and get 'er done!

Edit: read that wrong... its easy to get the mirros back in place.. just pop them on in reverse order of the removal directions.

Also, to get back on, it makes it a tad bit easier if you kind of line it up on one side, and then pop in the other side, instead of just pushing it straight onto the mirror motor housing. In regards to possibly breaking little pieces, I would suggest not doing this when it is too cold...although it might not make any difference...
