Well, I never used the stock jack, rather I always use a floor jack. I put it right under the diffs to jack it up front and rear. This lifts both tires off the ground. Usually if I am lifting the truck, I need both sides off the ground anyway.

My truck is lifted a little and the stock jack is useless.

up

still hoping someone out there knows where on the truck to place our factory jack before lifting it up.

Why say "gee thanks" and then "up" the post ovrrdrive gave you the right answer. he was just saying for most work it's better to use a floor jack I agree and some jack stand are even better.

But if you need to change the tire on the road:
On the 4WD models you jack the truck from under the rear/front axle housing. on what ever side of the shaft you are getting the tire off of.
