How do you replace your map lights? '97 SR5

I am looking for some advice on how to replace the bulbs in the map light. I have converted all of the bulbs in the interior to led but I cannot figure out how to access the bulb in the map lights. I sure don't want to start yanking on things or poke around with a screw driver and mess something up.

Thanks.

You're going to need a flat head screwdriver. Now look at the map light console. You should see two small notches along the botttom. Wedge the flathead under there and pop the plastic cover off. It may take a few times but you'll get it. Once its off you just twist out the bulbs and voila! The bulb is a BA9 bulb. But a word of caution: I ordered LEDs from VLEDs and while the color was easier on the eyes than the map lights stock yellow, it wasn't as bright and kinda nullified the purpose of having the map lights so I switched back to stock.

A hot tip is to wrap the small slotted screw driver in electrical tape. One wrap should be enough if you're gentle. That keeps you from scratching the colored bezel.
