How far does everyone's keyless entry remote work

My keyless entry on my new to me t4r only works from about 10 feet from the truck. Is this normal or should I look into a new battery ?

yea 10 to 20 sounds about right to me, my 2000 is about that even with new battery

Didn't get one with the truck so bought a factory copy on ebay and does about 50-ft no prob.

20-30 ft. hold it to your eye brow and hit the button. (no kidding) it increases the range. but yes pick up a new battery for it.

HA! I always place those remotes under my chin to get more range. And yes, it does work!
FWIW, I have a Compustar 2-way system that works to about 5 blocks away.

Thanks guys , I guess maybe ill tough it out until i install remote start before next winter.
