How fast are you comfort driving? Usual highway cruise speed?

Wondering something...

I have a 2018 Off Road Premium and it feels like it’s working hard to cruise at 80 on flat GA highway. Do your 4Rs work hard to cruise at those speeds? My Tundra can do higher speeds with ease in comparison.

With the 285 tires and close to 3 inch lift I feel in control at no higher than 75 mph. Less when loaded out.

75 to 80 normally......and I get run over on I-10.

85-90 that’s slightly above the average cruise speed here in Massachusetts.

Above 90 when I get to the deserted parts of I-95 in Maine.

My top speed was about 110 and the 4R felt pretty stable but most of the time I stay below 100...I drive a sports car for triple digit speeds.

Usually 70-80mph. Pretty stable at that speed. Anything past 90mph and it's not the most confident feeling drive, but I only do that if I absolutely need to get around traffic.

OH isn't that bad. It's just not Chi-town where 20mph+ over posted speed limit is the speed of traffic.

I generally try to stay ~9 over the posted speed limit (60-70 most places nearby). Northern MI is 75 and when I pushed above 85, I felt it wandering. Stock '19 TRD Pro.

Any idea what your caster numbers are? If they're not 3.5 degrees or more, it's going to feel "floaty" at higher speeds.

I have 4 degrees of caster in my lifted 4R with 285s and aftermarket UCAs. Feels solid at 85 mph.

69 - 73 (i've hit 80+ passing a truck). Doesn't feel a sure footed as my old Acura TL-S or my Z. I go for gas mileage.

Oddly enough, i sold my radar detector 4 months after owning the T4R (only used it once to update it in the T4R)

I-80 across norther Nevada has speed limits 75 and 80 mph. Local 2-lane highways are generally 70 mph with some state highways with homes at 45-50 mph. I’m a senior so do the speed limit.

Same as any other car I've owned: as fast as I can. Foot down, eyes closed, full send.

Not actually, tend to be 20-30km/h over the speed limit depending on traffic.

You must have had better experiences than me then being a local. I still can't forget/forgive getting pulled over at 2am going speed limit on 90 near Sandusky for.....failure to signal when passing a semi and returning into the right lane.

Whatever the speed limit is in town--I have no desire to hit a pedestrian or somebody on a bike because I'm in a hurry to get to the grocery--and 10 over the limit on the highway. I love the 4runner ride and at 65 or so, I'm getting about 21 mpg. Not bad for a vehicle of this size.

I do the same. Set the cruise control, aim for the middle lane, and rarely have to pass anyone.

Usually no more than 5-10 over the limit depending on traffic and conditions. In 70mph zones I like to go 72-73. In my experience, lower speeds lead to better mileage. I also find that I get better mileage when not using cruise control. I let the speed bleed off a little going up the hills and pick it back up again going down the other side.
