haha i'm with you but it's guys like us who are the type to think "it's solid until it's not" are the ones who get really fubar'd in the end...haha

the 4runner is by no means a top speed machine ... i've been into the 90's a couple of times usually as a result of road rage on the congested freeways down in "SoCal". I've also had to stop suddenly from those speeds and that is not a great feeling.

Now cars are a whole different story ... my Supra has seen 160 ish several times ... hell I snapped a pic of the speedo at 150 back in the day. My IS300 went through Utah at about 130 when I first got it and was on my way home from the SEMA show. My old SC MR2 was maxed out at 132 which doesn't sound as fast as it feels in those little things.

In other words .. yes i'm dumb enough to drive fast, but smart enough to realize the fastest way to get somewhere in a 4Runner is a straight line over whatever is in your way.

I think I've been to 90 - never really tried to reach 90 or 100+ in it, no reason to... I think the ARB helps though, it feels solid when I drive 75-85 MPH cross country on the interstate, I was SO impressed how well it handled and drove... and POWER when I wanted it!

Now I have been to over 100 MPH in my Lumina, sketchy in that car with no shocks and with all the miles it has... Not doing that again...

Maybe 102 or so. With the laws in cali don't go over 100 really. But with a supercharger it gets up to 100 no problem and pretty quickly also. I would imainge somewhere around 120-125 with a charger at least.

My GF told me i got up to 105 on I40 going back to Camp Lejeune. It was late, there was no one on the road besides me and her, and we were bored, so we started playing. Her little 07 Civic would've crushed me if she decided to. That was on stock rear suspension, and DR Coilovers in the front. Would I do it again on a stock suspension, yes. Any day.

Now, with the rear suspension set up I have now, 63" Chevy's, there's no was if HELL I would do it. I almost lost it going 75-80 the other day. Hit a bridge on I40, has one of those little drops in it.. Yeah. It's a damn good thing it was 3 lanes, and I was in the middle. I ended up sideways. Stayed in the gas and straightened her out, then slowed the f*ck down over that stretch.

Now, in my old 5 Lug, dropped 1.5" all around, got up to 107 all the time before the limiter came on. Still wish I would've taken that b!tch out and maxed her...... and that was a 2.4. the limiter would kick in, and I'd be at 3.5K. I know that damn things could've done 120 easy.
