How fast has you t4r gone?

My first-gen 4runner has gone 95. Only because it was a downhill, and i wanted to do it once. Wasn't very interesting. Cars are the way to go for any kind of triple digit speed. All three cars i had before the truck got put well past 100, and they were far more enjoyable to do so in.
It's an SUV hahaha. With that said, who's winning? Do 4th gens top out faster with the 4.0/4.7?

110. On I-40 west of Kingman. Also, 97 by Mt. Shasta a few years back. Got pulled over ten min later by a CHP who flipped a b**** on the interstate to get me LOL we laughed about it and he lessened the ticket to $125. Felony speeding would have screwed my license up.

My 03 4.7L V8 tops out at 117, if I'm not mistaken. I had the needle pegged on the little stopper thing so I wasn't sure.

80. and that IS a legal speed limit here.

Ok, i realize this is a 3rd gen area. I had to add mine too tho! My 1st gen with the stock 22r was up to just over 100mph and yes; it had its 37" tires on!!!
Granted, it happened to be on a trailer with my psyco buddy behind the wheel of his F350 attached to it at the time... But thats not the point! I actually looked back at it as we past 90mph to see what parts I would be comming back to pick up off the highway after I got down from a crazy mans trailer. Alas! Nothing actually blew off! Lol

Right around 100, on 33's, that's about all she had. Pretty sketchy feeling too.

97 was the fastest I ever got, while going down a steep hill when late for work a couple of weeks ago. I held it to the floor the entire way (25 minutes), except for a single 90 degree corner. Did not feel sketchy as some are saying, even with an inch or so of snow on the ground

I swear I've seen a brief 85mph test section somewhere along I-15. I don't think my eyes were playing tricks on me.
We have an '03 Accord V6 6-speed in the family, it's an absolutely excellent vehicle for that stretch of road. I prefer to cruise ~65 in the truck.

In their stock form I've personally topped out every 4runner I've owned. So, the 3rds did 107 stock and Whatever the 03 V8's top out at. The highest on 33's and 35's was a little over 90 downhill on the interstate. They all drove nice and smooth.

I too have topped mine out, about 105-108. Wasn't too bad, I was in a rush though for an emergency. Would I do it again? Yes I would.

I believe you're right. I thought it was 80 but its 85. the nice long stretch between st george and spanish fork, maybe.
I was actually just taking a snapshot of the mileage, but had to speed up a bit so the needle wasn't in the way. Incidentally that's probably the fastest it's gone since I had it. Still had power left but it was getting pretty squirrely (there was quite a crosswind at the time)
