how long do stock tires last?

my stocks lasted around 70k. Then went to LTX M/S2's, they lasted around 60k. Then went to KO2's, they lasted 91,000 miles! I just put my second set of KO2's on last week, hoping for another 90k+!

I wonder if having KDSS indirectly causes premature wear with it’s improved on-road cornering.
I replaced my duelers at 33,500. Probably could’ve gotten 10k more but I didn’t want to head into Winter and Spring with questionable tread on my 3 year old truck.

I don't think so. I think proper alignment, maintenance (rotations) , and inflation is key. I run my KO2's at the recommended 44psi and got 91k and have KDSS. See my post above.

If you have the stock Dunlop AT20 like I do, they'll last until you take a knife to the sidewall after you look at the consumer ratings on the various tire websites, which simply confirms why they suck unless you're a little old lady that only drives to church on sunny, warm Sundays.

All of my tires have worn evenly but I haven’t seen 50% of that kinda mileage.

Sometimes I wish I leased a porsche Cayenne instead. All the activities I like to do are in the mountains, or on the other side of the mountains. So I end up driving mountain/canyon roads Touge style as fast as I can in my 4runner. That loves eating tires and brakes doing this. All the while being slow. Where as I could have been doing this fast in 2+ Porsche Cayennes each with 3 year leases in the 7 years I've owned my 4runner.

Fwiw the oe terra grapplers on my 4r had 7/32 left on them with 29000 miles....replaced them with 285 duratracks which have a 45k warranty
