How many coolant hoses are there?

Obviously the radiator hoses and there seems to be some sort of coolant lines going into the intake manifold. Does anyone have a list of the hoses. I don't want to find out I missed one or two

4, unless you have a rear heater, then 5.

Upper and lower rad hoses, hose INTO the heating core on the firewall, and the line coming OUT of the heater core back into the block.

If you have a line that goes down your firewall and under the truck, that goes to the rear heater.

You also have two lines to the throttle body and two lines at the oil cooler.

So I am looking at six since no rear heater
Radiator (2)
Throttle body (I called it intake manifold) (2)
Oil cooler - where is this located. I haven't looked close enough because I have never seen it

And to answer your question, about the location of the oil cooler, it is on the driver's side of the engine block right under the exhaust manifold. Kind of a pain in the ass to get to.

They feed the IAC valve, which must control how much air is let into the motor during idle, depending on engine temp kinda like the old school mechanical choke system on carburetors. I'm guessing on this so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it's to keep ice from forming in the IAC in colder climates. it doesn't control idle at all. you can bypass it and you won't notice any difference in the way your vehicle drives.

Yeah Im pretty sure it's just to prevent ice. We used to bypass the throttle body by joining the two lines together, Back in my hot rod Tacoma days. Then hook it back to the throttle body during winter.
