Getting close to 70k

2007 sr5 v6 has 35k, but just got a brand new engine (see my only thread if you want to know what happened)

Bought my rig brand new back in Feb 2006. 2006 4x4 Sport V6. It had 5 miles on the ODO. Now it has 71000. Where the hell have I been driving this thing? haha

I do Mobile 1 Synthetic 5w40 @ 5000 or whenever the MAINT light comes on.
Been using Bosch filters since I ran out of OEM filters 4 filter changes ago.
I've done one radiator flush along with replacing the spark plugs back when the ODO hit 30K. I think its about time for another plug swap and rad flush.

Only non maintenance item was the rear U joint.

This is a baby, but already replaced the Trunk latch mechanism, 1 Dash light, 1 headlight.

I completely agree with you, when it gets cold out the 08 rattles ( I think this the byproduct of cheaper plastics that are more lightweight, also toyota went to a snap on system because screws took too long, thats part of it also), the 94 still solid as can be, I have given it serious beatings on the trails, and it just keeps on goin'.

No doubt..winter surely exposes all the little noises and rattles that can drive you to the loony bin on a long road trip.

Just got mine back this week from the shop. Needed a new blower fan resistor so it'd have some heat in this New England weather we've been having this winter. Replaced front calipers last spring due to the typical frozen piston issue. Has always had dealer reg. scheduled maint., oil changes every 3k, replaced the plastic CV boots as they were starting to leak (i like to nip things in the bud early).

82,222 as of last night. Bought in '06 with 16k on it (highway miles mostly since then).

Miles to go

09 Trail Edition V6 4WD - Still new. Mileage at 21,250. Oil changed at 5K intervals. Tires replaced at 3K (could not stand the Dunlops on the highway, now have Michelin Latitude Tour). no other issues or work done.

purchased in may of 08 with 40k.

107k and no major repairs yet. oil change and tire rotation every 5k.
just put nittos on. and loving them.

Repairs to date beyond routine maintenance -

Replaced alternator Jan 2010 (will probably replace battery as preventative measure some time this year)
Replaced CV joint front pass Jan 2011
Seized front calipers around 70,000 km and one seized at 140,000
Replaced intermediate steering shaft at 145,000
Gasket leak in exhaust triggered CEL Dec 2009

Salt on our roads up here plays havoc with anything you drive - I reckon this isn't bad in the circumstances.

In just the last week or 10 days someone on here posted a link to a site that collects mileage/maintenance data and then provides stats from all the users that submit the data. I am trying to find it now so I can add to the thread as there are not too many 4th gens yet on the site, hope to find it tonight and post again...

You probably mean TrueDelta Car Reliability and Gas Mileage Information I ran across that site on bimmerforums because they were trying to get enough Z4s to be statistically significant.

Also, I think there is a relatively recent version of this thread. Anyway...

MOBIL 1 until the release of MOBIL 1 Extended Performance (2006?), then M1 EP, changed every 7k, then 15k. Using FRAM filters.
So far:
Battery (200k?)
Spark plugs, several times
Front brake rotors (150k)
Rear brake rotors (250k)
Brake pads front/rear (150k)
Brake pads rear (250k)
O2 Sensors, pre-cat (220k,240k)
Climate control console lightbulbs (140k)
Also the rear wiper has started misbehaving in the last two weeks. Looks like a gear slipping or somesuch.

Shockingly, I'm also only my 3rd set of tires. I have Michelin LTX A/T 2's that have been on it for the last 125k and still haven't reached the wear strips.
