How many of us have had their transmission fixed?

My '13 has harsh shifts at low speeds, I wounder if this TSB will apply to mine, since you said it only covers the first few thousand.

Although, just because toyota is aware of an issue, doesn't mean they will fix it for newer models...they still haven't fixed the driveshaft clunk issues that they have known about since the 3rd gens....

Most of these issues were on the '10-'11 models. There is also a TSB for the driveshaft thunk for those same years. I know my '12 shifts fine and has no clunk. The big issue for the shift was a "slipping" between 1st and 2nd while going around a slow speed sharp turn, such as parking lot driving. My '11 SR5 had it and was fixed by the re-flash if I remember correctly. So was the driveshaft clunk when stopping.

EDIT: I am wrong. I did get the reflash but no joy on fixing the shudder. It was still doing fine at 66K though when I traded for the TE. No shudder now lol.

He talked to the lead tech, "we are very familiar with this problem", and said that even though I am outside the VIN in the TSB, they will reflash the ECM per the TSB. Appointment Wed AM. Update then.

Having heard of this problem from other members, I had asked my dealer to check it out (for documentation more than anything) and he said it's fine.

However, lately after a long weekend trip into the forest, I feel it almost 'dropping' gears, but very faintly.

Is that similar to yall been experiencing?

to see the results of the fix for the shudder going to 2nd gear.. my Trail does it 75% of the time
