Edmunds.com had a price promise of $36,576.

Came with KDSS, Nav/camera, exhaust tip, sliding rear tray, etc.

Just joined the forums after reading this great thread many times prior to purchasing so I thought I would add to it myself.

Here was the deal on my wifes new 4runner.

Location: Buffalo NY
2014 SR5 Premium with running boards:
Sticker price of $38,840
Negotiated down to $35,200 (about a grand under invoice) plus taxes and tags. The other part of this shell game was that they gave us $1000 more than anyone else for her trade in on top of that. We also purchased weather tech digital floor mats at their cost and the extended warranty to 100,000 miles at dealer cost too. (I left these items out of the figures above).
It did not hurt that a friend of mine is one of the finance guys either and made the process completely effortless.

We did look at Honda pilots prior and I am soo happy that my wife fell in love with the 4runner. I am happy to have it in our garage :rockon:

I am considering a Limited and can't get them to come down below 43k at the same place. Both the SR5 and LE would have to be trucked in. Someone on here got their LE OTD for 39k... if they could get close to that, it would be sold.

$41,000 Limited 4x4 - options are , running, boards, mud flaps, and floor mats, + taxes and $125 doc fee, - what's with the otd??? OTD is a bad comparison - depends on if and what your trading? taxes vary by state , fees vary if you need a plate or transfer... so just add your state's percentage.
That's without the $500 finance crap too, It would have cost a grand extra in the long run, my credit union gave was 1.9% for 5 years - stretched it out to 6 years for 2.24 though - I figured if I could borrow money that cheap - might as well take advantage as long as I can. Also I sold my car off craigslist and they did a courtesy trade for me to save on taxes.

So in short my OTD was $33,043.54

ALL dealers affiliate with the quote stated they only have premium with full option in stock (seems like a bait and switch to me).

Finally contacted a high volume dealer's internet manager and he told me the price quoted was without navi/floor mat etc.. ??? And insist that I came in to take a look see

I told him I am currently TFS pre-approved and will only deal if he can offer me a solid 'number'... so far didn't hear anything.

Am I wrong to assumed Trail Premium includes navi/entune as standard option ?

I find 37600 for 2014 Limited , luxury package , minus 3rd seat. add 865 shipping and 400 for processing fee.

Just finalized some numbers with my dealer. 2014 trail premium, with crossbars-$36,000. They gave me $27,000 for my F150 that I still owe 20k on. I opted for the window etching and Toyota premium 125k extended warranty for $2500. I threw in an extra $2500 down. Financed a little under 30k with all fees included. Only catch is, the 4runner is not here yet, should be any day now.

I have a 2014 SR5 4x4. MSRP was at $36k at the dealership. I emailed them a price I got from Truecar.com and asked for $32k. Dealer accepted. I went in the next day put down $3k downpayment and paid $33,404 out the door, which includes tax, registration etc. I thought I got a pretty good deal

Don't line item the Toyoguard. All SET vehicles have it.
Just pick the number you are willing to pay overall and state it. My Toyoguard mysteriously disappeared from the line item price when I gave them a take it or leave it price for the whole vehicle. Same with the mandatory $500 floor mats that are piled up in my garage. These two items are cash cows for uneducated MSRP paying customers.

Delivery is non-negotiable and usually the other processing fees within reason.

OTD is somewhat subjective due to regional taxes, trade in, etc. but after a few weeks of hard shopping I had built a spreadsheet with MSRP, pricing, options, discount % off of sticker, trade value, etc... Having all of it in spreadsheet form was really helpful. Range of discounts ranged from 0% to 8.7% from dealerships in Texas, Colorado, Florida, and Virginia. Overall best deals came from Colorado and Florida. Wasn't worth traveling for 0.6% so I bought locally. I was amazed that one dealer here wouldn't come off of the sticker at all. Only had one Trail in stock, and it must have been made of gold or been their allocation for the year. Good luck in your search!

Yesterday about noon I had a restricted phone call, which I rarely answer but I did. it was a salesman from a dealer that I quote via TrueCar. This salesman was asking if I was still interested in 4runner limited. then I told the reason why I stopped my research. immediately he said "allright" and hung up the phone. not very nice and professional from his part but ohh well

2014 SR5 Barcelona red, I think the only non-stock items were rack cross bars and weathertech mats (front, back, and cargo) (is entune system standard?), $33,684 with all fees, etc. In Montana, so no sales tax.

Traded in 2002 Outback (had some issues) for $3,000, so $30,684 net.

After 10 years with my 04 with 150k miles on it. I decided it's time to research for my next car. My 04 never let me down once but I want to see what's out there after 10 years. Did some research and comparison. 4Runner is still the one offer the features I need. So I went to the dealer over the weekend and try to start with the negotiate game. This dealer doesn't even bother to negotiate, he said they got the lowest price. Then I start walking.

Found another dealer from TRUECar and put down the deposit for a White TE Premium + KDSS, exhaust tip and wheel locks for $37,488.
