If I take their deal I'm losing about 2k if I get the lowest amount selling privately ( after tax savings). I don't think Im willing to lose that much for convenience. Been searching for a while. I guess a little longer wont hurt.

well if you are actually going to sell it privately, then sure wait find a buyer and sell it privately, you'll always do better that way. or keep it, then you won't lose anything. I'm just saying the offer the dealership is making for your trade isn't unfair, but, they should come down on the Runner just a bit.
Yea my thought process is Im meeting them in the middle. It has worked in the past. It leaves them room to make some money and I don't take such a large hit. But, its all about supply and demand for both vehicles and I do understand that completely. Just looking for the best deal and don't need it to buy so ill wait. Maybe ill get lucky

Nope, I am probably among the small group who didn’t want that system in my 4Runner. While I do believe what it does is great, I saw it as an extra system to go wrong 10-15 years down the road that could be costly to fix.
At the time I was also (still am) planning to lift it and felt without KDSS would be easier and probably not apply much once lifted.
Those are just my thoughts and I’m sure many will disagree haha

this seems like a great deal. lowest I have found so far is mid 34's - before taxes, etc. ( in MA also) - if you end up buying - let me know which dealer you worked with --- i may hit them up. I wont step on any toes before you secure your deal!

Seriously, KDSS is awesome, but I have same concerns about long term durability. In 2000, I bought a LC vs LX for same reason. I sold OEM LC suspension to a LX owner 10years later. He had suspension bulb failures.

Haha I knew someone would say it. I was wondering about the ability to remove it down the road if I had a failure of some sorts but didn’t look into it once I found this exact model at a local dealer

Go right ahead - I bought it presidents day weekend! Prime rt2 in Lancaster.
I used an online 'car buying' service through my bank (usaa) which gave me a great quote. I emailed ~8 dealerships. I was firm on wanting 2018 TRD OR. I liked the mag grey the most, but would have done white, black or blue as well. I told them I was ready to buy.
Took several hours and had some great quotes from 3 dealerships in MA. Prime happened to be closest and lowest. I didn't go back to others to see if I could ratchet them down even more.

FWIW I had one of the best car buying experiences this time around. I was looking at various vehicles/brands/etc and built a spreadsheet to track every financial aspect including residual (largely why I decided on the T4R). What I ended up doing was creating a new spreadsheet with everything I could think of for the deal (trade in value, TTF, warranty addons, etc) including levels of discounts off MSRP, monthly payments, and the final out the door amount I was willing to finance. I PDF'd the spreadsheet and sent it to the sales guys and said 'ok if you can honor column X (% discount) then you can start the paperwork now and I'll be there today, if not then I'm moving on.'
The sales guy texted me not too long after and said we have a deal. Went to the dealer and they had all my numbers already recorded on the paperwork, went back to financing and breezed through them since we had already negotiated any additional addons at the front of the house. Overall it was the easiest car buying experience I've had so far. I kept waiting the whole time I was at the dealer for the "gotcha" to come out since everything was going almost too smooth.

Just purchased a 2018 Off Road Premium, with sunroof, for $37,073. I searched the Portland area for the last 6 months, but all the local dealers were stuck on $38,735.
Found an Off Road Premium at Lithia Toyota in Springfield, OR. Sent an inquiry to them and was pleasantly surprised to get a quote of $37,073. Super easy and quick to deal with.

Haha yea they came down another $500 on the OTDP. Couldn’t find anyone within 2-300 miles that he what I was looking for and could beat the price. Life’s to short to be unhappy!

Did you get it at Fred Anderson? If so I went to look at it yesterday and they told me it had just sold. I have them looking for same configuration only in Mag Gray. Enjoy, the white looks much nicer in person than I expected.
