Yep this is the one. I'm looking through this thread and many of you are paying 37-38k for '19 ORP. I'm willing to spend ~39k since this particular truck comes with predator steps and pro wheels but the dealer gave me a hard no. The actual quote he gave me after a couple of minutes on the phone was 40.9. What do you guys think? Find another dealer?

I bought mine end of July 2017 for 40k even. If the one you are looking at is a 2019 you might get them lower but for 41 k even not bad but that should include all fees except TTL since this one has the wheels and tires when mine didnt. It is possible it will go down as the year goes by since the 2020 has a few upgrades. You may even want to wait. Also remember too that the TRD Pro wheels are only 7 inches wide so technically you could not put a 285 70 17 on it if you decided to go that way.

You may want to consider one without the TRD wheels and when you buy the one without it just immediately sell the wheels and tires as a package and then buy your own wheels and tires and upgrade to 275s. 285 will require a lift.

Recently people on this forum bought the same TRD wheels for I believe about $700 so as a negotiating tactic just tell him the wheels aren't worth that much. And also tell him the 2019 has not been upgraded like the 2020 for another negotiation tactic. Then walk away if you have to and wait and see if they call you. If not try again a couple of months from now and always make an offer on the last business day of the month. I think Tuesday is April 30th.

Also seriously consider one with the sliding rear cargo tray. It's a $300 option but will cost more if you decide to put one on after the fact. and remember to if you want to off Road in that vehicle you don't want those running rails (if that is what those predator steps are I do not know) that have the welded on steps. They will get hung up on rocks.

FWIW I paid $39 for an ORP w/ OR pkg. Mine also included the blacked out emblems on the front/rear/side which I see the linked one does not. The linked one also has the grey TRD wheels not the standard black one off the Pro (if that matters at all to you)

I know you said "technically" but I know a bunch of people running 285/70's on the Pro wheels without issue, myself included.

Yea, that's why I said technically. Some people may not be comfortable putting on tires not recommended by the manufacturer. But yeah, many do it and have no problems.

Unfortunately I'm in a bit of a bind as I currently do not own a vehicle but will be moving to another city at the end of May where I'll be needing a vehicle right away. So as much as I want to wait for the 2020 models, I dont think its possible unless I buy a junker to drive around for the summer. :yuck:

I haven't been able to see the rear cargo tray in person, do you by any chance know how it would work if I plan on driving around with my dog in the back? He's a medium size dog, ~70lbs.

Good point on the steps, they look cool but I can see them getting ripped right off.

No KDSS... I wish it were easier to find in TX but I've yet to see a dealer option it. Do you have KDSS?

No worries about a dog on the cargo tray. My 100 lbs Doberman does just fine.

Yea the OR package includes the predator/N-FAB rails. I have seen 2 variations on it though, one with removable steps and one without. I can't tell from the pictures if the one in the link has the rails with the welded steps or removable. Mine came with the removable steps which I ended up just taking off until I get a chance to put real sliders on.

FWIW... Toyota charges close to $1400 for the TRD wheels black or gray on the MSRP sticker. You can buy those for under $700 from the dealer. I bought my 19 ORP with Sunroof, no steps for $3800 off MSRP. Added the TRD front skid, TRD gray wheels and General Grabber ATX tires for a combined $1500. That is almost what the factory charges just for the TRD wheels alone! I still have my TRD OR stock wheels that I can probably sell for $500, if anyone wants them.

You won't find any sliding cargo trays in Illinois. The MN-WI-IL-IN distributor doesn't order any for the dealers in the region.You'd have to go to Iowa or Missouri to get one because their distributor does. You can't even special order a tray from an Illinois dealer. I just went through that headache and decided to give up on getting the tray new. Going to try to find someone to trade with.

Try talking to Dave A. at Naperville Toyota. You can tell him I sent you. He just ordered a white ORP for me this past weekend.

Tell him what you absolutely want and don't want and he will try to find it for you. The key ones would be trim, color, KDSS/no KDSS and moonroof/no moonroof.

Having just done a lot of asking around, I can tell you that you won't be able to find as good of a deal as you're seeing the people on the east cost or AZ/CO get here. It's about $37.5k before tax for a no option TRD ORP, then add the list price of the options(KDSS/sunroof, etc) you want to that to figure out about what a dealer should be able to do.

You'll also have a hard time finding barely optioned examples around here. You'll get all weather mats and running boards or something similar at the minimum. Getting fewer options would require a special order, but you don't have time for that.

EDIT: $40.9k for the one at Elmhurst is about right for the area. It would be around $39.5k if it didn't have those TRD wheels.

EDIT 2: Naperville Toyota can probably get you the white ORP with KDSS they have for ~$39k if you're not stuck on the MGM color.

Yea, I had to go to Peoria, AZ for mine. Dealers in the gulf states don't sell KDSS unless they special order one. Stupid if you ask me. But if I were you I wouldn't hesitate to buy one in another state, just call your states tax office and ask what the rules are. You may have to talk to a supervisor as the clerks usually will not know.

Mine did not include running boards which I did not want. Only thing it didn't have that I would have wanted was the JBL audio. In 2017 they didn't offer the "Wilderness Package" which basically is just the TRD wheels and AT tires as opposed to the crappy Duellers.

I would counter back at $39,500, and maybe settle at $40,000 (if not lower). Depends on how badly you want the truck.

No problems. It will probably come with a rubber mat that I thought sucked so I just took it out. Then I put in CanvasBack covers. I don't have a dog, so I just put mine on the cargo tray and the back of the back seats, but they make covers to cover the entire area including the sides if you have a dog. Highly recommend the CanvasBack covers if you have a dog.

Schumburg came out the gate asking 38 for orp, kdss, moonroof steps and premium sound, could have been more but that's all I remembered from a month or so ago. I'm guessing they can go lower since that was opening offer. Sticker was 42

Thank you this is excellent news. Do you by any chance have an idea of how long the wait would be for ORP KDSS if ordered to spec? I dont need the car until approximately mid June.
