How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Buying a 2019 4Runner this week, is this a good deal?
Current dealer I’m working with (Greensboro NC) has the following deal for me:

2019 magnetic gray SR5 4x4
- leather seats added after (Softex)
- 3rd row
- predator side steps
- black emblem overlays
- all weather Matt’s

$37,500 out the door (just over $36,000 before TTL)

I appreciate any feedback, will be my first Toyota/4Runner. I’m open to going to other dealers if this sounds too high, thanks yall

Not a good deal in my opinion. I think you could find a TRD ORP for close to the same price if it didn't have KDSS, sliding rear cargo, or moon roof.

I think you could find a SR5 Premium for that as well and it will have real leather seats from the factory.

There is no 3rd row seat option in the ORP.... And good luck getting an SR5 premium with 3rd row seats with the predator side rails(+$500) for less than $37,000 before taxes and fees. Maybe if you got one without a moon roof.

That does seem a little high for just an SR5 though. Probably a lot of that cost is the adding softex seats?

Thats way to high. We paid $37,100 (before fees / tax) for our 4x4 Sr5 Premium WITH 3rd row and moon roof. The running boards will add about $500 to the cost. You could probably pick up a used set on craigslist for $100 though..

Honestly, I'd look for another vehicle especially if one of your main concerns it mpg. This 4.0 gets relatively bad mileage compared to other two wheel drive 5 occupant SUV's.

We get about 17~18mpg combined but we are also running a 2.5" lift and 285 tires.

I would at least get one with 4x4. Even if you don't use it much it will help a lot with the resale value and does not cost that much more than a 4x2. The extra weight of the 4x4 components are not going to hurt the mpg too much.

Not too bad, but I think you could negotiate it down more if you tried. Wait until the last day of the month for the best deals. If you are not in a hurry, I would wait until you can find a 2020 since the display screen for the radio and nav goes from 6" to 8" and comes with some safety features the 2019 doesn't have. 6" screen is really pathetic if you ask me. They may have even improved the radio or at least will give you the JBL radio with the vehicle rather than it being an option. I think too the 2020 has Apple and Android car play whereas the 2019 may not.

Also I assume you have kids since you are looking for one with a 3rd row seat. Before you pull the trigger, go sit in one. It is for children only, probably less than 10 years old. I sat in one recently since someone on this forum claimed they were over 6 ft and could fit in it. I call BS. That is one tiny seat. I am 6ft and no way I would sit back there unless I wanted to torture myself.

Also, if it has tan leather just be aware that you will have to clean it a lot more than a darker color. I personally like that saddle brown color if they still have it.

Costco pricing in the SF Bay Area was pretty straightforward - $2000 below invoice. I didn't look into a TRD Pro, so not sure if that's the case there, but the ORP fell into this category...

I just picked up a TRD ORP with KDSS and Sunroof for 39k. MSRP was almost 44k. They ended up giving me a better deal when I went in than USAA car buying gave me online. According to USAA that was a good deal for my market. I test drove both with and without KDSS and noticed a good difference. I use mine as a DD and for camping/exploring so it’s staying pretty stock and not getting lifted.

Im looking at a '19 TRD preimum, with KDSS and some other options. MSRP 44,600 and I've got them down to 40,900... I was thinking that was decent until I saw this. Any thoughts?

I'm with you on that. I'm in Orange County, CA and I was looking into a SR5 premium 4x4 with third row and I got quoted through Costco @ 41000 before TTL.

Waiting for 2020 upgrades, before I make a decision. Leaning towards just getting a used one and using the savings for upgrades right off the bat.

I paid $37,100 for the same optioned 4runner in Portland about 2 months before tax / fees. I'd try to get them down another $500.
