Paid $37,650 pre TTL. I believe that’s ~16% off MSRP. Trade in applied to tax and I got the maintenance plan for $1100

Would you guys say 6.5% off MSRP for a 2020 4runner TRD Off Road Premium be a good deal? Or could I try to negotiate for lower (8-10% off)? I might possibly be purchasing the vehicle out of state and understand there might be some hassle with the DMV before and after the purchase of the vehicle. I am coming from California and will be flying out to drive back 900-1,000 miles.
I'm in the same boat. Are you also not finding any luck with any of the LA dealers willing to negotiate on a 2020 ORP? Making me look out of state as well...

I mean you have to think that it's a hot ticket item, all you have to do is look at how many people in here are looking to get one. They know how in-demand they are so best you can do is make an offer at or under ~10% because the worst thing they can do is say no or try to work with you. I asked for 17% off they landed at ~16% (2019 ORP), I would have been happy with 15%. How much you are looking to pay should be your determining factor in the offer. You also should be negotiating in person, much more effective than talking via phone-email if you want to negotiate (at least in my experience).

That seems like a decent price, but there may be some comparable deals up in my neck of the woods.
I just ordered a 2020 TRD Off Road - Premium with KDSS, Sunroof, and all weather floor mats. MSRP was $45,489 and ended up paying $42k (before tax, license, etc.). Did not have to work too hard to get there so I may have been able to pay less but I am happy, they are happy, and the deal is done.
I am in the Seattle area and started with the Costco Plan. The dealer I was sent to was not giving much off....maybe $1,500 off of MSRP. This was weird because when I got my 2012 TE, they absolutely killed it even though they had the only unit in Washington State. They did not seem willing to negotiate.
So I started making some inquiries via Carfax, Edmunds, and other on-line outlets. Magic Toyota gave what I felt was a great price and was very generous with my trade in. The sales guy was also very communicative and no-nonsense. I ended up going in three times and they were happy to print me out whatever I wanted. There was another local dealer who was good on pricing, but Magic seemed to do the best job up front, and even said they'd snag my desired vehicle off of the boat (or factory order it) even though they had an identical unit on the lot (but with about 60 miles on it).
I have my VIN and the sales guy said he'd let me know when the vehicle hits the port, gets on the truck, etc. He spent some time showing off the dealer website which shows the vehicle status and gave me lots of printouts. He said to just text him if I want to know more.
Maybe I could have paid less, but I am happy with where things ended up. I feel the quality of service was top notch both from him, the GM, his used car partner, and the Finance Guy. Give Magic a try and see what happens...
Now I just need to figure out how to sell the wheels and tires so I can get some of the TRD Rims!
I’ve got a deposit down on a 2020 Limited. I feel like it’s a decent deal considering demand but am still keeping my eyes out as it won’t hit the dealer until mid-November and my deposit is refundable.

Seems like a pretty good deal! You may be able to get lower, just depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put in. I just picked up my 2020 White ORP last week here in Texas.

I would like to purchase a 2019 or 2020 TRD Pro, but the prices locally are ridiculous. AutoNation Irvine quoted me $10K over MSRP for a 2020 TRD Pro although the rep stated the 10K is negotiable. I would doubt the final price is anything close to MSRP.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Trying to get into a 19 TRD ORP with KDSS and Moonroof.
Not having any luck getting any dealers over multiple states to go below 38k right now. Hoping the end of the month will get me closer to the 37k mark!

10.5% off a brand new and high demand vehicle? I would say that is a great deal! Where did you get quoted that at?
