How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

so, if you go out and finance it through Toyota, im pretty sure Toyota does not have any apr deals on ANY 4runner and they will offer you a rate at about 5%( the dealer most likely will make money from the interest rate). when i was shopping around for my 4runner, most dealers were trying to get me to finance through Toyota, and they would tell me that i would be able to refinance with (in my case) my credit union within 30 days, it would still be considered a "new vehicle purchase". NOT TRUE!! i called my credit union and asked about this and i was told that once the new vehicle was registered, they would consider it used and would not be able to offer a new car rate. ended up getting 2.77 APR on my new 2020SR5P

If this is true, it is your credit unions rule not all of them. Or whoever you talked to was mistaken. I financed my F150 thru Ford Credit, got the $1500 rebate, 2 months later refinanced thru my CU at new truck rates of 2.19%.

Picked up a 2020 Limited yesterday.

MSRP of $47,594. Paid $42,499. Got the price online and picked up the next day. May have done a bit better, but happy with how fast it was.

That's a great price! Anything at or above 10% off of MSRP for a 2020 is great! That is the benchmark. For a 2019, the benchmark is 20% off of MSRP.

You mind me asking which dealer? Was it around Spokane that is almost 11% off unheard of around here.

Looking at a 2019 SR5 Premium that was a "manager Demo" 55xx miles on it but would still be sold as a new car.

Price quoted: $35,790 +TTL (NJ)
Extra discount would be adjust at .15 a mile?

Decent Deal?

I was also recently quoted $37k +TTL on a 2020 SR5 Premium

Sansone near Woodbridge. Ask for Danny Z. Use Truecar and do a bit of research. 8-9% off 2020 ORP should be doable. Good luck!

Yes I would agree with at least 9% off.

Remember NY has a cap on doc fees of $74. NJ dealers usually want $498.
Use that to your advantage.

Get used to it. Everyone on the internet pays less, gets better MPG, makes more HP and has a hotter wifey/girlfriend than you.

That's why I stopped looking at this thread. To begin with, we're not all speaking the same language with the numbers. Some people are showing their net price after a trade-in, some are not counting dealer doc fees which are pure profit! Of course a dealer will give you another 1K off the "sales" price when they are sticking an $1100 dealer doc fee on the vehicle. Yes, they are that high in some states. Some people are simply lying.

For me, I special ordered* a 2020 TRD ORP (KDSS but no Sunroof, which is a unicorn) with an MSRP of $44530. I got a 7% discount of MSRP for a "sales price" of 41,538.92. But tags, taxes, and the $899 dealer doc fee brings me up to 45,499.99 Out the Door. No trade. The whole ordering process and negotiation took 5 minutes via text and about 15 minutes at the dealership. I texted him my specifications and offer of 45,000 OTD, they said some on in and we'll talk. When I got there they countered 46,000 OTD, after 15 minutes we met a penny on my side in the middle. I'm happy. They're happy. We all win.

Could I have gotten a better deal? Maybe. Off an in-stock model, probably. However, every dealer I talked to about special order* started at MSRP and some wouldn't budge.

* Special Order (or whatever you call it with Toyota, I know it's not really a factory order, you're just putting in a reservation for one with specific options as it comes off the factory floor)

I am new the 4runner forum but on previous vehicle forums I have gotten deals that were as good as described by members on the forums. I think people really should provide screenshots or evidence of the deal if they really want to help other forum owners.

On the Silverado forum their information helped me get 38% MSRP on a brand new truck. On the Vette forums they helped me get 35% MSRP on a brand new Z06. I understand these are Chevys though.

I figure with the dying sales, 10-15% off MSRP with no dealer fees could be possible, maybe I am just gullible.

I know Olympia deals better than most in the area, for instance I got my 2019 TRD Pro a year ago from Olympia for about $2500 off MSRP but 17.6% off MSRP on any Toyota when there are no factory rebates in Washington. Something isn't right here. Please tell us your ways....

I also had a great experience at Olympia. I posted previously about it in this thread but they were by far the best price anywhere within 250 miles of me.
