Not giving up by a long shot, just surprised at the reaction. This was at Toyota of LV. I mistakenly figured that given the current situation with so few buyers and a dwindling economy, they'd be a lot more interested in making a sale...and 8% isn't some outrageous lowball offer.
Findlay over in Henderson is closed until April 16th, but that's my next stop when time comes. Maybe a month down the road of this "crisis" they'll feel differently.
I solved the oil change problem, bought a RCI skip plate

I work in Sarasota FL at a Toyota dealership. We usually do about 35-40 new a week this time of year. We've done 46 mtd. This is a fantastic time to buy. Heck check out our site to see if you like something and let me know. Hopefully I'm not infringing on rules or anything.

I don't need a new vehicle but it seems like the right time to buy so I've been emailing around.
Best I could do for a 2019 is 16% somehow. It took so much back and forth to even reach that so I gave up on that for now. I will only buy a 2019 if I can get 20% or more since I want Android Auto and 2019's don't have it.
I just got a quote for a 2020 for 11% off MSRP. I think I'm gonna hold out for 15% or more.

I had a pretty good feeling when I spoke with them about purchasing a 2020, nearly 7 months ago. They have a massive operation there and tons in stock (extra lot across the street with more than you see). Seemed like a pretty transparent company.
Turn the table and ask why you should purchase from them?..... perhaps mention you've got good offers from other dealerships in the area. Hope you get the one you want!

Was 42900 OTD or before tax? Would you recommend buying a CPO 2020 Limited with ~4k miles on it? They seem to be asking around 42500 but thats before negotiating.

Of course there was tax and such (varies/state) Ours had 19 miles on it. They are dealing like crazy. Like I said, we saved alot on two vehicles. Great trade in as well.
This is the time. The stock will be limited when this is all over, and somehow the dealers will need to recover. It will be costly in the end. If you can buy a new one, do it!

I bought a LTD at herb chambers in boston.......I found a range of almost 2k difference depending on where I went. Prices in RI were the highest----one dealer Valentie (sp) told me they would only sell at MSRP??? what?
Chambers was way more flexible and much more professional...they not only got me the exact one I wanted - they also gave me a way better trade.
I went to the website----and got an internet price / special from HC in shrewsbury??? or somewhere out there, walked into the dealer on commonwealth ave and they beat that by 1200!

This thread got me a good deal that I am satisfied with. Posted last year but for some other reasons didnt end up buying until last week. No offense but some posts are so vague, such as people not knowing what OTD price is, not including trade-in prices, not including what taxes they paid if any, or if they got screwed over by the financing department with a high interest rate. Maybe some people are really bad at finances and don't know what they are actually paying for but it is better to include as much information as you can. With that I do appreciate everyone trying to help and posting what prices they got. Anyways hope my post helps future buyers.

2020 Limited: 42,900 plus tax and dealer bs. Got 18,000K for a trade that was really worth 15,500K. Oh, and I paid cash. So no financing. I'm sure you can do the math. Now they are closed for a long while. So, if you live in a state not closed down, you have to jump now. Otherwise, the deals will be long gone.

I asked a dealer in my area if they'd do 13% off of MSRP for a 2020 Limited. They said no. I was thinking about trying a few others. Only issue is that I'd probably be stuck with my current vehicle for quite a while, since I'm pretty sure no one is going to buy via Private Party anytime soon. I never trade-in. I always sell on my own.

I think they could do better on the ext warranty. I paid just over $1K for 8 years 75K miles from dealer in Midwest in late December.
