That's a damn good deal! What color you get? As far as the warranty, the powertrain on these Vehicles is pretty freaking solid. It's all the little electronics and random things you gotta worry about. Always nice to have the warranty, but how many miles you planning on driving each year?! [emoji1787]
Even after purchase of the warranty you can make some adjustments. I'd ask for a 10 year 150K to extend it a bit. That's just me tho.
Careful with the oil changes. 100's of posts and tons of thread how dealers screw up, too much oil, not enough, stripped bolts, cracked oil filters, even body damage. Not Toyota specific but read more horror stories here than previous rides
I have owned numerous vehicles of many makes foreign and domestic - why does Toyota make the oil changes so difficult?!
Interesting. Mine never gets messy, uts just takes longer than every other vehicle I have ever owned.
I'm not saying its difficult, dealers (most) do not use mechanics to change oil, mostly unskilled cheap labor. Coming from Jeep and Ford I've read the nasty stories that dealers do. Never experienced it until Ford messed mine up. coming to this forum as mentioned reading 100s of posts in the last year alone is just plain awful. Toyota will never see my vehicle for any maintenance. even though I'm no expert, i'll take my time and know its done 100% correct
Holy crap man, that's ridiculous. Considering we have four Toyota dealerships in LV you shouldn't give up too easily. I have had tremendously good luck turning Subaru dealerships against each other to get the price lower. Give it a shot. They may not fluctuate price for Pros and Limiteds but SR5s are haggle-able.
