How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Local dealer to me gave me these numbers on a TRD Off-Road Premium

MSRP: $43,268
Sale Price: $39,294 after the $1,500 incentive for this month.

Was hoping to get 10% off MSRP before incentives, currently at around 5.7% off.

Feel like this could be better?

Yeah, I got around that price with KDSS on mine in May. There weren't any cash incentives in my region.

New member, first post. Will be trading my Tacoma in soon for the a T4R ORP, latest offer was at $39,613/MSRP of $44,613 that includes all incentives/$500 cash back. I'm in central OH. I can confirm that the inventory at least where we are is somewhat limited compared to what it has been. I've been "looking" for the past few months and seeing the vehicles go and not much coming in to replace them.

So around $39k without any incentives? That's actually what I'm aiming to get. Gonna go in today and try to push the envelope a bit. Before incentives I'm around $40,790 which honestly is not good enough for me.

Ya, so around 12% off before incentives

If it's just ORP with no options it can be below 39k

I bought my 2019 ORP w/ KDSS, moonroof, sliding cargo tray for $500 over dealer invoice which was around $4k under MSRP, or $41k if I remember correctly. After paying California taxes, registration, destination fees, etc ... I think it was around $45k out the door.

I just put a deposit down on a Silver OR without KDSS for $35,200 before TTL from Molle Toyota in KC. They knocked off $5500 off MSRP for any trim of 4runner (which is the deal I ended up with) and $6250 off any 4runner they have on site (they had mainly SR5 and limited and I just wanted a base silver OR). They were few thousand dollars cheaper than anywhere else in Iowa. One dealership said they would be losing $250 if they gave it to me for that price. Anyways, I got the name of this dealership from this site and greatly appreciate the help and guidance from so many ppl! I would never have reached out to them without this thread.

I’ve started shopping online for a limited 4Runner. I’m not very serious yet, but I’m in contact with a local dealer that has a new 2019 limited blizzard white with 3rd row Msrp of 47770. Lowest they would go until today was 42,610. Today the dealer said they would take 40,000 (16% off Msrp). I will walk if they start adding in a bunch of fees. From what I’ve seen this seems like a deal I shouldn’t pass up.

I passed on this 2019. It had a strange past. Dealer traded about 4-5 times had 1000 miles and interior damage.

I’m now really considering a 2020 limited I almost took it home yesterday but I felt they were low on my trade. 2018 forester XT. Highest they would give on my trade was 23500.

2020 limited

MSRP- $50,884
Invoice 47700? Not 100% on the exact dollar amount
Sale Price- $45,712.40
Toyota Rebate- $1,750
Total- $43,962.40

Is the price on the 4 runner low enough that I should overlook 500-1000 on my trade value?

Anyone with insight on the Toyota rebates? I was surprised when they increased it from 750 to 1,750. Is this likely they highest they will offer?

I was surprised to see several SR5P and ORP advertised at or under 40k, MSRPs ranging from 43-46. I'm not in the market at all, but a 8-12% pre-negotiation starting point seems solid.

I'm in central OH and currently in the market, I suppose it's a good of a time as any. We're wrapping up a mortgage refi and going to pull the trigger. Trading my Tacoma which will change things up a tad however as you said the starting point right now is solid.

I'm assuming you are closer to the c-bus area than here, but there are 4 Toyota dealerships within a 15 mile radius of Toledo. Jim White seems to offer the best advertised price. When I cross-shopped these 4 plus Kasper in Sandusky, Jim White came with the best pricing. Anyway - Jim White, Yark, Thayer, and Wolverine are around here if you're interested.

How many limiteds with the specs you want are in your area? I think it comes down to that. If there are other dealers, you can present them this offer sheet and ask them to up the trade in value for the Subaru.

To be fair though I think that is a decent trade-in value. It depends on the mileage and condition of the vehicle.

There are quite a few especially if I travel a distance. I drove over a hour to this dealer.

It’s my impression that limited 4 runners don’t sell fast. Is this the case? As I look back through this thread almost every post is asking about pricing is for other trims.

Hi all! New to the forum. This thread has been extremely helpful; thanks to everyone for commenting.

Just for a few more data points, the best I'm seeing around the Chicagoland area after about 10 days dealership visits/calls/emails, is $40,397 (sale price) for an ORP with KDSS (no other options, magnetic gray). I do want the KDSS after some test drives, which is limiting my options.

Still seems a bit too high from the data I see here. Most dealers don't seem willing to budge much from the $42k range.

I would say it is. The dealer fee is certainly much better than you typically see and you're getting about 12% off MSRP.

From what I'm finding this seems like a good deal. ~$1,000 less than the best price I can find.

Mind if I ask what dealer/location in case they get any other in stock with KDSS?
