That happened to me at Beaverton Toyota. They also tried to low ball me for trade-in of my Tundra (I ended up selling it for a considerably higher amount on CL). The people at Gresham Toyota were much better to work with.
Here's the deal we got a week ago on a ORP with KDSS. Let me know how we did. Hopefully, this helps future purchaser.
You can ignore the trade in as we negotiated the price prior to stating we had a trade in. Honestly, the trade in was generous too.

Just bought a 2021 Army Green Trail @ Wilsonville Toyota. MSRP was 42,795. I got it for 41,600. Didnt have good experiences with Gladstone or Portland Toyota. The folks at Vancouver Toyota were great but they didnt have anything I was looking for.

2021 sr5
New to 4 Runner (and Toyota)...
Just picked up a 2021 SR5 (not premium but with upgraded audio), in Magnetic Gray. I wanted something basic, as it is just for camping, hunting, scouts, etc. I am in Michigan, so not much hard-core stuff here. I like the reliability, so I hope to keep it for a while. I have plans for upgrades as I go.
We have some pretty good deals here in the Midwest, as things must be slow on the lots lately. I had two dealers fighting over me (last day of the month). I got the purchase price down to $38,880 from an MSRP of $42,774. I ended up leasing, as I couldn't pass up the low payments (things are tight with COVID). The payments are $351/month for 39 months, $0 out of pocket. Very happy about that!!
The end-of-lease purchase price is higher than I would like, at $30K and change, but that is because the residual's on these trucks are so high (I guess that's a good thing). I do plan on purchasing it now, but this gives me options, both personally (based on how finances go), and seeing what the 6th Gen will look/be like.
So far we love the truck. I had a little buyer's remorse, as I am coming from a 2018 Pilot, and this thing is much more rudimentary. BUT, I am really starting to like it. All the videos, forums, and convos have convinced me that this is a superior truck over the Pilot. Sure, the Pilot is a great AWD family "van" but this rig will be something that will serve me well for a long-time to come. I like the usable power, simpleness of design, and looking forward to passing this down to my now 7-year old someday (pending rust issues.... again, Michigan). I just wish the MPG were a little better.
I look forward to being part of the community.

The MSRP for my soon to be delivered ORP was 44700, dealer came down to 41,200. Out the door for 43004. As mentioned above thing must be slow in the Midwest (Iowa). This was the lowest price I could find the next closest dealer a state north could touch was 45,300 OTD. Checked about 5 dealerships. Either way I’m super excited about the vehicle and the price helps with that

This is probably the wrong thread for this but yes to both. Not sure about the PCS staying off but lane assist does stay off.
Last month (1/2021) I scored a 2020 TRD ORP with KDSS, moonroof, running boards, blacked out emblems for a sale price of $40,784 (MSRP was $46,498 something like ~12.2% off MSRP) and a 1.89% interest rate through my local credit union. It was an out of state purchase so I paid taxes/registration separately so my OTD was $41,171 at the dealer. Feel like I got a great deal.
Just purchased a 2021 TRD Pro for MSRP at Marysville Toyota in Marysville, WA. $52,813 plus tax, title, license. Also got a good trade-in price for my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. Never paid MSRP for a vehicle before but my initial experience looking for a Pro was an eye-opener. A local Seattle dealer was charging almost 10k over MSRP via required dealer add on packages. Toyota of Olympia was charging MSRP too but not taking deposits. First come first serve. Marysville took deposits so I went with them. Very happy with Marysville Toyota! Loving my Pro so far. No plans for huge mods. Will probably add a front bumper and winch at some point. Also happy that the car fit in my garage.
Wondering what you didn't like about the Crosstrek as looking at it as a third vehicle.
Overall I liked the Crosstrek for around town and light off road use. I traded it because it was a bit underpowered on the highway. Decent pickup in town though. The main issue for me was the low tow capacity and tongue weight limit as I sometimes carry a motorcycle on a hitch rack. The rack+motorcycle is 350+ lbs and the tongue weight limit for the Crosstrek is 200lbs. The limit for the 4Runner is 500lbs. I bought the Crosstrek planning on keeping it for many years, but after I bought it was when I started hauling a motorcycle around because I decided to quit riding motorcycles much on public roads. In addition I wanted something better able to handle off road bumps and potholes and with a true 4wd capability. Also something with more space. In town the Crosstrek is better than the 4Runner, but for everything else the 4Runner is much better except for gas mileage. I was getting anywhere from 25-32mpg from the Crosstrek. Nice car, just not quite up to what I needed.
