How much could I sell my T4R for (if i do)

Lately I've been thinking about selling my 4runner only because I've always wanted a car, I want a S14 kouki. So how much do you think I could sell mine for? Body is perfect has the lift and all. I've put 4300 in lift I know not to expect to get back what I put into it. The lift tires and all have 2,000 miles on it. The axles are new, bushings new, tie rods new ball joints new. Id want to sell it for at least 8,500 prob ask 9,000. That price isn't including maintenance work.

Hard to say but for a 98 w 217k and mods, I'd guess around $6k. Mods don't usually add much and a 98 w 217k will sell for $4500 around here. I hope you get more.

I agree with [MENTION=59733]98OzarksRunner[/MENTION], it's hard to say. I don't know your market but even in an overpriced market like the Bay Area I'd say 8500 is on the really high end.

Luckily you don't sound like you're in a rush so you can put it out high and see what happens. And while you always want negotiation room in the price I think you might loose some potential interest starting at 9k. I'd say at least get in the 8s to get some ad views.

Be patient and you'll get a fair price.

I just went through buying a t4r in nashville. The "high" mileage would hurt your value, but the maintenance you've done would help it a lot. When was the last time you did the timing belt? If it's recent, I think you'd easily get your $8500-9000 up here, although it would take a while to find the right buyer. Not everyone wants a truck like yours with that much balls on it. Some folks just want daily drivers and would have a hard time talking their wives into an offroad beast. :cough:

Yea if it was in my area, I couldn't see it actually selling for more then 6500.. I bought mine for $4300 its 2000 4wd 205k mikes with leather seat and rear locker, new tires, recent timing belt a lot of records and it was completely stock clean inside outside and underneath. A lot of buyers don't want a lifted one with big tires Ect.

So try like KBB and get a ball park figure and try for a price you think is fair to you and the buyer and see what happens.

I have one similar to yours...lift, tires, wheels ect. Done about the same maintenance, no rust and body is in great shape. With 30k miles less than yours, I'd probably get between $6-6.5K. I know its a slightly different market, but I think $8500 is pretty high expectations.
Another problem with asking that much is it'll be damn near impossible to get a loan for a vehicle this old and with that many miles, so you're looking at someone with cash, which narrows the buyer field even more.

The reason I think may be able to sell it for this much is because my friend had a 2000 ranger which he put a body lift on, muffler, new wheels and someone had bought it from him for 8grand. The truck was pretty crappy nothing special at all just really cheap mods. I doubt ill ever sell her, unless someone wants it at my price which probably won't happen.
