I bought mine (97 SR5) about 2 weeks ago with 181k for $600. The PO was parting it out but had only taken off the bumpers/lights and radiator, which I would have likely changed anyway. I've spent some money and time to get it drive-able, but she is running now and only needs a couple more things to be fully back on the road. My total 'purchase price' is probably ~$1500 which is still great.
Coming from working on cars all my life, this truck thing is a lot of fun! I'm hooked.

I paid ~$4,000 for mine plus $900 for shipping from Arizona.
The previous owner was a great guy and handled the transaction
above and beyond expectation. The truck has about 200K on it
and lots of work has been done to keep her a solid truck. My plan
is to keep slowly improving it and prevent it from rusting. That
means Krown oiling annually and painting the frame/chassis.
Also NOT always running it in the salt brine we pour on the roads by
the ton. We have a total beater for those days AFTER the deep
snows!

Some crazy deals on here. Picked this up a few weeks back...
2002 Sport Edition with 256k miles. I have another car so I wasn't too worried about the miles.
It's got a straight body, no rust, PNW car with leather. Runs great. I paid $4700 and feel like I got a deal, it's my ideal spec. Seems like these are pretty in demand around here, still haven't seen another good one pop up since.
(A true car guy still checks CL even after he's picked something up)
The tires were shot so I put on some 32"KO2s. So far I love them.

Been lurking here for the past year waiting for the right time to replace an old Dodge Ram pickup with old Toyota 4Runner. Saturday was the day for a clean 2000, SR5 with 133,000 miles for $7250.00. Missed out on several offers, so when this one became available I jumped on it and it has turned out to be an excellent running, very clean, rust free truck. Happy to officially join the club.
