all said and done mine cost me about 5K with 180K on the clock,
1K cash and whatever my 98 jeep zj 5.9L was worth, lol figure 3500-4K, it was paid for so really the runner cost me 1K and couldn't be happier.

guess i should go into the story about mine,

i took this one for 5 days while the dealership tried to get me the right financing, it had 80K on the clock they wanted 9K for it i offered 7K plus my jeep as a trade in and 1K down, wanted my payments at no more then $205 a month they said they could do this but they needed to talk to a few differant lenders they let me take the truck in the interm and so like i said i had the truck for about 5-6 days

so when i went down there to sign the papers they said they wanted $305 a month i just laughed at them and said no way and walked out the door, their explanation was not enough credit history, which is bullshi.. I'm paying on a mortgage yeah sure i don't use credit cards and have only financed 2 cars before but I'm pretty sure if you got a mortgage financed a car shouldn't be to much of an issue, so my parents where getting ready to get a new car because they had 170K on their 1999 4runner and thought that the miles were getting close to "too high to sale" so i offered them 1K plus my jeep
which was worth around 3.5K-4K, they agreed and i took my new to me 4runner home even though it was the same truck that used to take me to hockey practice when i was 17 and to my proms and graduations now being almost 30 it's mine and in my garage at my home, i feel like one of those toyota commercials where it just gets handed down in the family for generations, i have had 12 cars before this and have secretly been waiting to get my hands on it, and am in love with it.

here's what it looked like when i took from my parents hands and how it looks today,

i got hit by a city bus a few months ago which enabled me to get an arb for the front, luckily the accident only destroyed the parts the arb replaces
it took me 3 weeks of battling everyday on the phone to get what was owed to me,i for one have a bitter taste against insurance companies now for life, there wasn't even that whole thing of "well i understand they got a business to run" they were just trying to screw me as much as i'd let them get away with which is dishonest imo, companies need to do "what is right and fair"
this was not the case, anyways moving on, how it looks now

I bought my for 5500 in Jan. 2010, it was from Texas with 100K even, leather seats, little wear and tear, 4wd, 3.4V6.
I thought it was a fraud but the guy was an idiot, the ones I looked at in Colorado went for 9000

Dude thats no lie. They are super popular in Colorado and thus more expensive. I bought mine in Ft. Collins, CO. 1998 SR5, 161K, $6000 even. But iv had to put $1400 into it in the three months iv owned it. Exterior is in great shape though. No humidity in CO, and they dont use salt. So its almost flawless.

Yes! My buddy almost bought this truck but we couldn't make it up to Houston in time. Glad to see another T4R guy got it!
