How much of a lift do I need for 33's?

Thanks guys.
So this is my planned setup. I would appreciate any comments/advice.
3" lifted rear springs, front 2" ball joint spacers.
2" shocks front. Should I get 2" or 4" shocks for the back?
I'm assuming I will require a steering damper, does it matter which one?
Then I will cut my front guards to suit the 33x12.5 rubber on patrol offset rims (can u put 33s on 7" wide rims?)
Do you think this will work (mines a 2nd gen obviously).
Will I need to extend the rear brake lines?
Will this be the best solution for offload without going over the top?

this is what im running on my rig i have 33x12.50s no issues what so ever. comes with everything you need and its pretty reasonably priced. I dont have a chubby for procomp thats just what was on my rig when i bought it. i have two pictures in my album of it. hope this helps you.

I'd go with 15x8" rims. 7" is pretty thin (coming from the guy with 36x15.5 on 15x10" rims haha) but doable. you shouldn't have to mess with your brake lines. If you do, you can modify the brake line mounts pretty easy. good call on the lift for minor wheeling. Lockers and tires will get you farther on the trail then a lift:thumb3:

I'm looking at these rims, just gotta try and workout the offset. From what I can find, standard is -8mm, what I want for 33"s is about -22mm on 8" rims.

I'm currently getting my engine fully rebuilt (hydro'd it), then I will be putting in a snorkel and if my motorbike sells, it will be lift and 33's.
Then I will probably get a winch before I look into a decent locker (got a stock LSD, don't know how good it is tho)

Found a ball joint kit on ebay with the diff drops as well.

ordered the BJ spacers and diff drop from the states, picking up my rear springs and shocks this week.
Now I just need to buy some front shocks and a steering damper.
With the BJ spacers, will 2" lift shocks be the best?
any brand shocks you recommend or would say stay away from?
I'm looking at a OME damper vs a tough dog RTC damper (with the spring as well).
Have any of you guys tried either of these?

Hope to have it all installed next weekend.
One of my torsion bars is jammed and even the tyre joint couldn't get it undone but I'm going to have a look at that when I get my car back from the shop.

What do you mean by the t-bar being jammed, where at? And I personally don't like rancho shocks, one of them actually broke at the base 2 months after I had it. And for the steering dampener, I don't even use one, allot of times it just makes it super stiff to turn. But on the other hand, if your off-roading, the steering can jerk around a ton.

I haven't had a crack at it myself yet but when I went to get a wheel alignment the guys said they couldn't undo the torsion bars so they couldn't do the wheel alignment.

i have 33 1050 15 km2s on my 87 in my avatar. i did the zuk mod and bumped the torsion bars up. i have no rubbing. and good clearence.

Just like vehicles, American made lift kits are trashy.Also, I have a brand new OME stabilizer fs, for 1st gens

I haven't had a crack at it myself yet but when I went to get a wheel alignment the guys said they couldn't undo the torsion bars so they couldn't do the wheel alignment.

Since those t-bars probably haven't been adjusted in years, the bolts that you adjust them with become seized in place. Trust me, I tried adjusting mine and the bolt snapped, sending the top part of the bolt through the floorboards haha.
