I've never needed to loosen the LCA bolts (although that is an option) it always slips right in. But you do need to remove the Tie rods... Then again, I'm usually working on a vehicle with aftermarket UACs. The stock ones need the connection to the spindle all way loose....

Nobody will really get this done in 2hrs... It's always more than that, even if you know what you are doing. I've seen peoples 2hrs... turn into 6. Then they say... well 2hrs was actual time with hands on the truck.... 5hrs is fair.

Too true. I'm well versed and equipped with everything but a four point lift and it was a solid 5 hour job. I'm no pro mechanic so my speed is average.

No need to remove the tie rods but it makes it easier to get the strut in rather than play with the angles.

I didn't touch the UCA's, tie rods...just lower spindle bolts, lca bolts, r&r the springs/struts then back together. It is that simple.
