How Often Do You Wash In Winter?

How often do you all wash your 4runners in the winter? Thinking about taking mine to the local touchless car wash for a undercarriage spray as soon as possible because I don't want mine to rust :(

I got an under body / frame sealant done when I purchased my Limited last year. I get it sprayed every 2 - 4 weeks in the winter.

My theory is a couple of dollars and minutes to take it through the wash is much less expensive and time consuming than having to deal with rust and corrosion issues down the road.

We're supposed to wash 'em?

Seriously, since I purchased mine on 1/27 I've hosed it off once.

(It's been pretty nasty around here since the big snow last month. We got a bunch of rain and now the gravel roads are grungier and muddier than usual.)

I'll give her another hose down sometime this week after the current bout of rain passes.

Winters are not too bad here but I get it rinsed off a day or two after they spray the salt brine on the roads.

So maybe 3 times a winter?

I go to the self washes at least once a week. I ONLY use rinse and it typically costs $3-$4. I try to do a Optimum No Rinse once or twice a month in the garage but I just did it for the first time since before Christmas yesterday. Looks awesome!

As for the touchless washes- I wouldn't use those either. The soaps/water may be hard on your paint. Use a rinse only at the wash bays... Works just as good anyway.

I presoak and spray the salt and grime off the undercarriage (and the exterior too, obviously) at the end of every storm cycle.

I wash my truck manually in the bay for $3 once a week. Did that with my 97 at had no body rust for 16 years. Only had to replace the rear chrome bumper which are notorious for rusting out in New England.

Every 3-4 weeks I take it to a local detail shop for a hand wash, they do a decent enough job. I clean the interior more often. I cant wait for the summer, I clean it weekly then.

i wash once every two weeks... been raining a lot lately so it helps keep it clean. but i wanna wash the under body more just hard to
