How should I power my CB Radio?

Just got done installing it. What is the best way to power it up? I need some electrical 101 on this one. Here is a picture of my current situation...

There's a lot of threads about this.. Easiest would be either taping into the power for the cd player or power for one of your ac adapters.

Go to autozone, get one of the "add-a-circuits"

Plug it into one of the empty aux power spots in the fuse panel below the steering wheel.
(the blue circled one is constant always on power and the green one is ignition switched power.

Run the power wire to said add a circuit.

Run the ground wire to a spot below the radio somewhere that you can screw into something metal.

So I take the black wire and ground it to some metal around the CB and plug the red wire into a add-a-circuits in my fuse box? I think our fuse boxes are different though (if I'm looking at the same one you are)...

Test that open one with a voltmeter

Or take out that accessory fuse and out the add a circuit in that spot and put the fuse in the add a circuit. It can also do that where it goes in an existing location and makes an extra line out

So does any one know what amp rating the blank one is in my fuse box? I went out and bought the Littelfuse add-a-circuit but it is only 10 amp. The ACC fuse is 15 amp. Anyone knows what that 15 amp ACC runs in 1998 4runner if anything?

I would just tap into power and ground for the radio, that'd be the easiest.

Well I grounded the black wire and with the red wire I installed Add-a-Circuit in the 15 ACC and tried the blank fuse. Nothing happened. No power. Any ideas?

BTW, the 15 amp fuse is for the radio I think.

Went out an bought a 3amp fuse and now she has POWER! I scanned though some stations but heard nothing. Hope everything is hooked up right. I'm learning step by step here.
