Found this useful great thread on double cardan. I'd assume first gen Tacoma has same driveshaft as our 4runners. Figured I'd share it on here if someone ever searches. Lots of good info on the ujoints and where to get them.

I've read that guys post too and was thinking about trying to rebuild mine if the time ever came. But, the consensus seems to be that the replacement parts you can find for these double cardan joints are not high quality so you might experience a problem much sooner than you'd like.

There's a driveshaft place near me. All they do is work on driveshafts. Even build custom ones. If I ever need one. I could probably have them build a custom double cardan with universal ujoints.
