OK... Hopefully this will put the Drive By Wire debate to rest. Here is a link to the entire history of the 4Runner and this link takes you directly to the 2001 page where Toyota did in-fact introduce what they call ETCS-i (Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent) to the 4Runner, which is indeed DBW.Charlee78 said:The Ecu and Vsc works togheter by cuttind fire and fuel to the engine when needed. excuse my dumb question but in the picture specifying the different cables is that the same for a manual transmission?
In the picture of the throttle body there are two taped off tubes. I also have these on my tb. what are they for ? (I have a 99 ltd 3.4 etc etc)
