How to get more rear flex

Hey guys,

I wondering what I need to do to increase flex in the rear? I have LC 8.5 wraps with extended shocks, i don't want to end up snapping a break line or something out on a trail. This is currently my DD as well. Any suggestions along with any specific part numbers if you have them are appreciated.

Thank you

What is currently limiting your flex?
Shocks? Springs? Tires stuffing?

Can you add a 2" spacer on top of your springs to give you more height and compression in stuffing the tire? Just some thoughts.

I'd say if it ain't broke don't fix it.

The rear flex with LC coils in is pretty awesome. No need to change it up. I have the SS 1.2 kit which comes with aftermarket bump stops.

I've got Toytec Superfelx coils, Bilstien 5125 Shocks, 2" spacers and extended bump stops. I only requires the bump stops because of the 35" tires. This setup would be pretty sick on 33's. This will put the rear up pretty high if you don't have the weight back there to level it out.

Put some longer sway bar end links on the rear and or change shocks. Do you know the extended and collapsed length of your shocks?

probably biggest limiting factor is as snowrunner mentioned, sway bar end links.
those LC are as flexy as it gets, at that point you should concentrate on your front end to keep up. rear flex can only do so much if the front cant keep up.

Sway bar links and bushings in your control arms are limited factors. If you're still running stock links they can only do so much. They need to be around an 1" to 1-1/2" long. This will help get your sway bar back to its intended position, and in turn giving you a little more flex.

There comes a point where additional flex has diminishing returns as well.

OP, what's limiting the flex you have, and why do you think you need more?

Currently I'm what's limiting my flex, I've been taking it easy as Ive been worried about extending to far and breaking a brake line or something else, are there extended sway bar links that I can get in the rear if I still have more room to flex? No I have hit the fuel tank with drive shaft yet!!

In the front I'm running Built right UCA and King CO which are pretty maxed.

Hmm, if the brake lines are of concern why not just swap it for a longer one?

Seems like the obvious answer or am I missing something?

There's all kinds of info on this forum regarding longer sway bar links, including using front links in the rear.

I just bent my upper rear brake line bracket down. Gave me about 3 more inches and returned the line to about the same length b4 my lift. Awesome!
