How to get rusted o2 sensor nuts off?

This is what it looks like, not much to work with.

Wire brush everything then spary a penetrant and use a good branded locking plier to turn the rusted nut without damaging the bolt.

In order of destructiveness...
1. Try and knock the rust off with a wire brush to get a good socket fit.
2. Soak em in PB Blaster/kroil.
3. Heat em with a torch, then try while hot.
4. Dremel the nuts off, clean up the threads and replace with new nuts.

Mine was like this. I got away with just the wire brush. Good luck.

I think I put my mini pipe wrench on mine after making them cherry red with the torch.

This is definitely good advise, I would also use a small pair of vise grips to spin them off.

Thanks for the advice. I wire brushed, soaked in PB blaster, heated, soaked in more PB blaster. Got the right side off just with a socket. The left one took about 45 mins to get off with small vice grips. Whole thing was much easier than I expected, I thought they had rusted in to one piece but the studs are much stronger metal.

I'm just waiting for my Yonaka Cat-Back to come in and I won't have to worry about the downstream O2 sensor (which currently looks pretty much like the one pictured from OP) since the mounting bung and sensor itself will be new.

I'm a little nervous about having to replace the upstream O2 though.

anyone have any idea how I can source these stainless nuts from the comfort of my couch?

This is what it looks like, not much to work with.

I pretty much have to torch all my frozen nuts and bolts off. A bottle of MAP gas comes in handy. Heat em up cherry red and they brake loose. Helps in preventing broken bolts also. I've been using stainless and anti-seize where I can.

Part # for nuts for 2000 2WD Cali runner upstream AF sensor

(I tried PB blaster several times then successively: open-ended 12 mm wrench, box-end, deep 12mm socket, vise-grip pliers. Could just never get a good purchase. In the end what saved me was a 12mm bolt extractor socket--and probably the cumulative effort of all the prior attempts. And I have CA car so not a lot of rust. )

Part number for nuts for my 2000 2WD is 90179-080059.

BTW, the nuts are oblong-ish at the top and the nut has a vertical cut on 2 sides so when the nut descends down the stud, the threads "grab" the stud a little to conform to the shape of the stud from oblong to not.
