This whole quote and tags thingy make too many notifications!! I don't need to get notified whenever someone quotes me. If I am interested in a thread, then I will select new post notification via email. Now, I get at least two notifications for every response! Why? I am not that narcissistic to need notification whenever someone uses my words.

Keep the mentioning tag thing, I'll probably never use it but at least bring back our locations. It's really helpful when trying to organize a meet or trying to sell things. And just to see where people are from is nice.

Maybe there should be a way that notification settings can be changed. That way when I quote you, you can disable a notification of a quoted post.

yes, the shout tags or mentions are great (what i initially suggested) but the quote notifications are wild. I am thinking theyre all part of a "package" so to speak and when one was turned on the rest got turned on.
