I have to admit, getting 20-30 e-mails in a day is annoying. But it all goes to a specific T4R folder and it gets deleted. I log onto this forum at least a few times a day so I don't really need an e-mail notification for events here. I can easily see my notifications when I log onto the site.

Is it possible to show the start date of a thread in the search results list, maybe next to the OP's name? Would give us an idea of how fresh the thread is.
I've suggested this in the past but maybe now it can be added.

Are all these upgrades what keeps causing me to get these "the site is too busy" error messages the last few days?

btw I'm not sure what settings everyone has (and clearly I've missed a lot of this thread and too lazy to read it all now) but I'm not getting that many emails. I only get emails when a thread I'm subscribed to is bumped or when I get a PM. I get forum notifications on the likes, quotes, and mentions, but no emails.

I think someone probably mentioned it earlier but names under avatars would be nice. I know a lot of people on the site by first name basis already but it would be a cool thing to be able to call everyone by name.

I'd like to see user posts go back further than the most recent 500. As far back as is practical.

This is a forum where people voice their opinions. I understand your frustration though. In my opinion, if a price is high then there isn't anything wrong with voicing your opinion as long as it's done in a respectful manner and not destroying the thread. That is where you as the seller needs to justify the price. If someone comes back to bash your price or thread then report it and bring it to the moderators attention. We will delete the bashers posts in your thread and send a pm to the person bashing your thread to get them to stop. Just keep in mind that he wasn't doing it to talk trash on you (in my opinion), he was just being realistic on his ideas and maybe trying to help you sell your vehicle at the current market fair price. I'm not here to say whether your price was high or low, I'm just trying to explain it from the users point of view. I'm sorry if he upset you but next time you should report the post(s) and get the moderators attention if it bothers you.

Forums are a place for open discussion, if you cannot accept that then they aren't for you. My suggestion to you is instead of going on a public rant just click the little exclamation mark next to my post of you feel I violated a forum rule, or simply add me to your block list and you will not see my post that are so offensive.

I do not receive ANY email notification from this site for anything. I have that function disabled.

Same here. As soon as I started getting emails to let me know I had been quoted, I disabled the email notification.

This is a good board. But I have far more important things going on in my life than to worry if I have been quoted on T4R.org.

Leaving the email notification function in place is fine with me, because I won't get them anyway.

This is true... however I feel like the classifieds section needs to have a specific set of rules, and perhaps more specific categories other than "supension/wheels/tires, T4R specific and everything else. " I can elaborate more if it's something you guys are interested in.

Quote notifications for me are unnecessary. I'm here all the time. Too bad it's a global setting. Tired of my phone beeping every two minutes...

One more thing I am very curious about: the quick reply function. Why do we have to hit it every time to make a post? I have to copy and paste every post because my phone browser often resets the box after I hit post. (Not enough characters message). Is that something you can change after a user has passed a certain number of posts? I've seen it done elsewhere so new members can't just type and post, but it changes to a permanent quick-reply state.

yea, x's 4 on the quote notification, i'm stuck, i don't want to turn my pm notification off but also don;t want to be bothered every time someone quotes me, my biggest problem with it is the fact i'm getting emails for this and it's tarting to flood my in box at work , it was much better when the only email i got was from a pm and someone actually trying to get a hold of me, now my t4r notifcations are becoming less important to me as i'm unsure of what is , what i consider spam, as opposed to someone actually being in need. in short i friggn hate this quote notification thing....

I think the majority wants them off. I'm going to turn them off, as it's causing too many email to be sent out from our system too.

Anything happening with the name and age option under your avatar? I mentioned it and couple of others did as well. I know it's not for everyone, but it's a nice feature to have as an option for the user.
