Marketplace ads outside of the marketplace should either be moved or deleted too.

Anyway, I agree that it would be nice to have gen specific areas in there as well. There is always one issue with that though. Say that someone lists a set of wheels in the third gen section. Other gens can use these wheels. If people don't know this, they won't come across the ad if they don't know to look there. On the other hand, if you know what you're looking for..... it won't matter. I'd prefer that over posting anywhere to be honest.

I've got an item I'm going to post up for sale. I'm going to try and use the format we kind of want to see.

Or you could require what Gen it is from in the thread title

I agree. Gen, part, pics, location are all necessary.

I think a mod designated to locking threads that aren't up to those standards may be in order. I could probably do that for new FS items

Does anyone else think the engine/suspension/Wheels/Tires/Audio/Acessories thread is just a clusterf***? Everything is jammed together. I thought it was better before. (more organized).

Not a bad idea for the classified section Ed!

Also the wheels and suspension should be one category, electronics another. I don't remember the mods discussing jamming that all into one section

You're a little late to the game bud. We've been hashing this out for like the last 3 pages and still awaiting a response from SV_Dude and admin

5) Classified Section: Threads must be formatted correctly and have the appropriate information OR BE DELETED
A) All Threads in this section must start with FS (For Sale)- FT (For Trade) - WTB (Want to Buy) in thread title as well as WHAT GENERATION the part applies to.
For Example: FS: 4th GEN Carpet Floor Mats - Tan
B) All Threads must contain the following information
---1) What is for sale/trade (model, specs, etc.)
---2) Condition
---3) Price/What you want to trade for
---4) Location of item
---5) At least one picture of the item for sale or for trade
C) Moderators lock Classified Threads that have not had any activity in 90 days or when the part is announced SOLD
D) No "Feeler" Threads - Its either for sale or it isn't

I think pics should be mandatory. If I say I have a set of wheels in "good condition" that could mean a lot of things to a lot of people. But, as you mentioned, it will benefit both the seller and buyer

Even though they are harmless, please do not use sigs that trace and display info about the viewer's IP address, location, etc. Also, so that our members don't have to constantly scroll down past gigantic sigs, please keep your sigs within the following ranges:

a) No more than 5 lines of text (including empty lines)
b) No pic taller than 200 pixels or wider than 500 pixels.

but that is a rule on most other sites.

Like I said, it is a common rule on other sites I'm a Mod on.
If it becomes a problem here the rules could change.
